Japanese carmaker Toyota introduced the first official photos of the updated Toyota Hilux 2012 pickup , which was light “facelift” and more efficient engine.
With an already refined looks, new Hilux got a new front bumper, revised grille,
headlights and other new hood. Among other external sites it is worth noting, new front and rear fenders, and a bit refreshed taillights.
Interior Toyota Hilux 2012 was more scarce changes include a new combination of elements on the instrument panel, new steering wheel and revised interior trim (in the direction of improving the quality of materials). But the technical equipment can make a Japanese pickup one of the best in its segment, which is just a new multimedia system with a 6.1-inch color touch screen and a jack for connecting iPod.
A well-known 3.0-liter diesel engine received a new particulate filter, but in general its performance remained the same. But the more interesting news is updated 2.5-liter diesel D-4D, which now boasts 144 hp (106 kW) and 343 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
It is noteworthy that, despite the extra 24 hp (18 kW), the new powerplant 2012 Toyota Hilux has become more economical and its predecessor shows the average fuel consumption at 7.3 L/100 km and emissions of CO2 – 193 g / km.
Updated pickup Toyota Hilux 2012, which is produced in South Africa and Thailand, will be sold in September this year to more than 36 European countries.
